E' un carro a base mobile su ruote che, arrivato a distanza conveniente dalle mura da assaltare, abbassa, mediante corde, la passerella a copertura triangolare che, appoggiata alle mura della fortezza, permette ai soldati di arrivare illesi alle postazioni nemiche.

Il s'agit d'un chariot dont la base est mobile qui une fois positionné à distance convenable des murs à prendre d'assaut, baisse au moyen de cordes, la passerelle à couverture triangulaire qui, appuyée aux murs de la forteresse, permet aux soldats d'arriver indemnes aux emplacements ennemis.

Es handelt sich um ein Wagen mit fahrbaren Unterlage, die mittels Seile die dreieckig bedeckte Laufbrücke senkt, wenn der Wagen zu einem angemessenen Abstand von Anzugreifeden Mauer angekommen ist. Die an Festungsmauern angesetzten Laufbrücke ermöglicht den Soldaten bis zu den Feindnesten unverletzt zu kommen
